Things Brick Loves/Hates, vol. 1

Our dog, Brick, is a complicated old chap and, like the rest of the Ha family, is rather stubborn when it comes to his likes/dislikes.  I thought I would share some of those preferences in a new series entitled "Things Brick Loves/Hates."  

Let's get started…

LOVES:  Situating himself as close to me as possible at all times.  The boys will agree that I am Brick's favorite human.  He is constantly under my feet (or standing on them) and will follow me from room to room throughout the day with one exception...

HATES:  The Kill Zone, a.k.a. the aisle between the two rows of cabinets in our kitchen.  This is problematic because I spend a great deal of time in the dreaded Kill Zone.  Brick prefers to sit just outside the kitchen and whimper until I drop what I'm doing and rub his giant head.  

There have been a few times that I've been able to lure Brick a few feet into the Kill Zone by dropping scraps of raw meat directly onto the kitchen floor, squatting down and calling his name a few dozen times.  I guess it's a start.
