The Clone Wars

Nearly a year ago, the hubby learned that George Lucas was creating a new animated Star Wars series called The Clone Wars. The movie, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which was released this summer, was a precursor to the television show.

If you knew my boy, you would understand what a big deal this was. He is obsessed with all things Star Wars. He has all the movies. He has all the video games. He has a monstrous washtub in his room that contains nearly every action figure, ship, vehicle and creature imaginable. He can talk about Star Wars until my ears are ready to fall off. I could go on.

The boy has been counting down the months, weeks and days until the premier. At long last, the day has finally arrived. Star Wars: The Clone Wars made it's network debut tonight on the Cartoon Network.

After watching the first two episodes back-to-back, I asked the boy what he thought. His response was, "It was stupid, crazy, dumb awesome! I love it so much!"

Our DVR is set to record every single episode. I have a feeling that many of our Friday nights will be spent at home, enjoying every single minute of The Clone Wars. I can hardly wait.
