Pumpkin Fest

As October draws to a close, Fall has finally arrived here in Middle Tennessee. I have to admit that I am trilled with the cooler temperatures that come with the change of season.

Fall also means visiting the Gentry Farm, Halloween and one of my favorites...Pumpkin Fest. The boys and I headed downtown bright and early to enjoy all the festivities.

If you recall, last year we were treated to an appearance by the members of the 501st Legion (a.k.a. Vader's Fist). Over the past year, the boy's love of Star Wars has only grown, especially with the addition of the new Clone Wars cartoon. As Pumpkin Fest approached, the boy began asking if the 501st would be dropping by again.

Imagine our delight when we noticed a lone Storm Trooper standing in the town square this morning. He informed us that others were on the way. Minutes later, the square was filled with various Storm Troopers, Clone Troopers (including Commander Cody), Jango Fett, R2D2 and a new addition since last year... the dreaded Tuskan Raider. It was so much fun!

Needless to say, the boy was thrilled and happily posed for photos with all the characters.
We are already hoping that the boys of the 501st decide to come back next year.

Tomorrow should be a fun day as well. Nana flew into town from Colorado this afternoon to spend Halloween with us. I think we may go stroll around the corn maze and enjoy a hay ride at the Gentry Farm.
