My boy decided to do a little baking yesterday. He wanted to make his favorite dessert, Cocoa Fudge Pie. As a pie lover myself, I was happy to oblige.
Now when I say that he did a little baking, I mean that he made the pie by himself. Without any help from me... except the one tiny thing I helped with.
The boy made the crust, rolled it out, cut it to size and then put it in the pie plate. At his request, I helped with the decorative crimping around the edges. He wanted to make sure his pie "looked good."
He then set to work on the filling. The boy melted the butter, measured the ingredients and cracked all the eggs. After mixing it together, he poured the batter into the crust. Together we put the pie into the oven to bake.
While I got to work on the dirty dishes, he did the only logical thing... lick the bowl.
Once the pie was cooled, we whipped up some fresh cream to put on top. Can I just tell you how delicious it was. He made a perfect, flaky crust.
The boy is turning into quite a little chef. An adorable boy that can cook... I'm sure the ladies will be lining up to snatch this one up in a few years. He is going to be quite the catch.

It looks fantastic!
Can ya send me a large slice?
Where's my piece?
And, if he ends up liking younger girls, I have just the one for him :)
I want a piece too!
He's going to be quite the catch - he's cute and he can cook. What a combo!
