The Bird's Nest... Part 3

I decided to sneak another peek into the bird's nest this afternoon. While the mama robin was off stretching her wings, I climbed up on one of the patio chairs and snaped a quick picture.

Upon first glance, it appeared that all three eggs were still resting peacefully in the nest. I will admit that I was a little disappointed that they hadn't started hatching. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of one of the baby birds.

After uploading the photos, I was able to study the pictures a little more closely. It was then that I noticed a few tiny cracks in one of the eggs. They were barely noticeable in the original shots. Only after cropping the image was I able to see the lines clearly.

I am so excited! It won't be too long until I hear the sound of tiny chirps coming from the nest. Hopefully I will have a picture of the little fellows in a day or two.

I wonder if the little mama will be as gracious about letting me sneak a peek once her babies are resting in the nest? Maybe I should put on some protective eye gear before the next photo session.
