Ha Family Math and the Shed Ender

What do you get when you add an 85-pound dog, ten minutes and the Shed Ender?
A massive pile of dog hair.

Is anyone else as grossed out by this sight as I am?

Welcome to what the next two weeks will look like at the Ha house. Due to our summer-like temperatures, the Beast is dumping hair like Paris Hilton dumps men... or so I've heard.

Thank goodness for the Shed Ender.

When my boy was four, he saw a commercial for the Shed Ender. We had just taken the plunge into the world of pet ownership and he thought this handy tool would be the answer to all of my dog grooming woes.

The boy, who had been quite impressed by the commercial, recited the entire spiel. "It's amazing!" he shouted. "It makes their coats look shiny and pet's love it!"

Being the synical gal that I am, I was unwilling to "call now to order" a new dog brush. I quickly put the Shed Ender out of my mind.

Fast forward a month. The boy and I had stopped off at our local dollar store to pick up some supplies for a school project. As we turned down an aisle, something caught his eye. It was the Shed Ender and it was priced at a mere $1.99.

Not wanting to miss an opportunity to teach the boy about how misleading commercials can be, I tossed the groomer in my cart and headed for the checkout. The minute we got home, the boy suggested we give our new purchase a try.

I have to admit that I was amazed by how well the Shed Ender worked. Within a few minutes, I had been able to remove a sizeable pile of the Beast's undercoat. The promises made in the commercial were true. His coat did look shiny.

The makers of the Shed Ender were only wrong about one thing. Not all pets love it.

*** The opinions expressed are my own.  The fine folks at Shed Ender have no clue I exist. I purchased the Shed Ender with my hubby's hard-earned cash and have not been compensated in any way for my review.
