Last Thursday marked the boy's first two weeks in the third grade. To celebrate, I did what any good parent would do... yanked him out of school and hopped a plane to New York City.

The hubby had to head to the Big Apple on business and suggested that the boy and I tag along. He didn't have to ask me twice. I love New York and welcome any excuse to go for a visit.

The hubby decided to extend his trip so that we could join him after his meetings were finished. I am so glad that we did.

This was the boy's first trip to New York. The hubby and I decided that we would try to show him as much as possible during our five day trip. Our philosophy is that the city is not the place to go to relax, so why not walk until you drop.

And walk we did.
I already have several long-winded posts about our trip in the works, but for now, here is a quick list of some of the highlights from the past five days.

We went to Central Park, Times Square, Greenwich Village, Battery Park, the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, Ground Zero and St. Paul's Chapel, Rockefeller Center, the American Museum of Natural History, Little Italy, the South Street Seaport, enjoyed a nighttime tour of the city, ate a delicious meal at Les Halles, went to the top of the Empire State Building, took the boy to see Stomp and The Lion King, rode the Staten Island Ferry...
In short, we did it all. And now we are tired.
More to come later...

Fun!!! I haven't ever been to NY, but, sounds like a whirlwind of a trip! I've always wanted to see Stomp! I can't wait to get together and hear the stories! Glad you are back...missed you!
