As the resident non-spender here at the Ha house, I am frequently behind the times when it comes to technology. Thanks to my dear hubby, I have now joined the 21st century and am a proud owner of a new Blackberry.
I switched my cell service to T-Mobile six years ago when they were advertising a ridiculously low-priced plan. After my two-year contract was up, I continued to faithfully pay my bill, all the while ignoring any and all solicitations to upgrade my plan or switch carriers.
Absolutely nothing was going to make me change. Nothing.
Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans... Last month, I noticed that T-Mobile was running yet another incredible deal. $79.99 for unlimited talk, text and data. I shopped around and realized that no other provider was even in the same ballpark.
At the hubby's urging, we headed over to our local T-Mobile store, upgraded my plan and bought a shiny new phone. And so began my journey into the 21st century.
To celebrate, the hubby and I decided to disconnect our home phone line. It was hard to part with the old number after fifteen years, but it was time. I had grown weary of the endless stream of calls for a local pharmacy. I pity the poor soul who inherits the number next.
I must admit that I am enjoying having all of this newfangled technology right at my fingertips. Who knows, maybe it will help me remember that I have a blog.
