You longtime readers may recall that the hubby and I got on a get-rid-of-the-stuff-we-no-longer-need kick several months ago. During our purge, we realized that we still had the baby crib... the one that had been tucked away in storage, unused, for the past EIGHT years.
We decided that it was high time to get rid of the thing. Lucky for us, some friends are having a baby in May and were in desperate need of a crib. I am delivering it to their house this afternoon.
According to the laws of fate, I will probably turn up pregnant sometime in the next three months. Just kidding... I hope.
In other news, the weather forecast around here is calling for more snow. I think it is safe to say that I am the only mom in the entire state of Tennessee that is hoping for mountains of the white stuff. The way I see it, there are five more snow days already built into the school calendar. It just seems wrong not to go on ahead and use them.
Besides, this whole getting up in the morning business is killing me. I would suggest that we skip the remainder of the school year and just move on to summer vacation, but there's one small problem. July. It's too darn hot. Maybe we can just go back to December and have Christmas break all over again.
I've got to run. With the threat of snow looming over our heads, if I'm not at the grocery store in the next ten minutes, the shelves will be bare. Nothing says "I'm ready for a big snow storm" more than a refrigerator stocked with 5 gallons of milk and a dozen loaves of bread.
