At my hubby's urging, I have been using our percolator to make a vat of coffee each morning. On most days, we manage to drink the pot dry, but every once in a while, we're left with a surplus in the bottom of the pot.

Not wanting to let any coffee go to waste, I freeze the leftovers in an ice cube tray. I picked up these blue beauties at my local dollar store. After the coffee is frozen solid, I simply dump the coffee cubes into a ziplock bag and store them in the freezer. It's just that easy.

Anytime I get a hankering for a cup of iced coffee, I grab a few cubes from my stash. As you know, most coffee shops use plain old ice to make their iced coffee. Sure the coffee is cold, but as the ice cubes melt, it becomes watered down and flavorless. The coffee cubes are the perfect solution.

clever idea.
since I like good coffee I'm going to do this with extra coffee; especially with summer just around the corner...iced coffee treats in a NY minute!
I do this too! I can't believe I didn't know you had a blog. It's awesome. Obviously I like it if I'm poking around in posts from 2011 :)
