One Thousand Gifts (601-611)

© shoutingforha

601.  The smell of new school supplies.
602.  The last remaining days of summer vacation.  I didn't want them to end.
603.  A rain shower after an incredibly dry month.
604.  Dropping my boy off at school and then going to brunch and a movie with some girlfriends.  What a great way to spend the day.
605.  A new pillow.  Nothing feels better than laying my head on a brand new, lump-free pillow at bedtime.
606.  Pastrami and Swiss cheese on rye bread.  Yum.
607.  Talking with my boy at breakfast on a school morning.  I miss his constant chatter during the day, so mornings are a real treat during the school year.
608.  An unexpected miracle at the boy's school.
609.  Free tickets to the Titans game.  While they're not my favorite team (my heart belongs to the Denver Broncos), we still had a fun time at the game.
610.  The aroma of freshly roasted coffee.
611.  Warm banana-walnut muffins with a little pat of butter.

Clicked over and read the miracle... that is amazing.

My oldest starts kindergarten this year, and I am so... having a hard time with it the closer we get. The wonderful, amazing thing is that I am the band director for the district, and my classroom is in his school. :)

I had the two children of his teacher in band.
So I know that he is going to be well loved, and well cared for...

but he is my heart... and I am fearful of a "Ralph."

I am so happy that it all worked out the best way.

Talks at breakfast time--what a treasure! And the smell of roasted coffee:) I have no problem sitting in a long line at the Starbucks drive through-just for that smell:)
