Home vs. Here

Endless forests of trees covering the hillsides...  Towering skyscrapers as far as the eye can see.
Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and sweet tea...  Thin crust pizza, good bagels and deli sandwiches so tall they barely fit in my mouth.
The stillness and quiet of a fall night...  The city that never sleeps.
The sound of children playing and dogs barking...  Horns honking as taxicabs and cars navigate the crowded city streets.
A warm and cozy home...  A sleek and modern hotel room.
A quiet place to raise a family...  The center of the financial world.
A scenic drive down the winding country roads...  A brisk walk down the bustling city sidewalks.
Families driving minivans or SUVs... People walking, taking a taxi or riding the subway or train.
People smiling or stopping to chat as they pass on the street...  Straight-faced people hurrying to their next destination.
Homes with expansive green lawns...  Apartment buildings and brownstones with rooftop gardens.
The Grand Old Opry, Centennial Park, The Country Music Hall of Fame, Historic Civil War Battlegrounds, The Batman Building, Music Row...  Broadway, Central Park, The Met, Ground Zero, The Empire State Building, Wall Street

You are in NYC? How funny. It's one of the elements of my Just Write today, too.

Have fun!
