The end of an era...

Today marked the end of an era at our house.

After 12 years of faithful service, our 1992 Toyota Camry has found a new home. We sold it to some friends today for $1.00. One of their cars quit working and they called and asked to borrow our extra car for a while.

It seemed silly to loan it out since it hasn't been driven, except for a few isolated times, since our neighbor used it several years ago. We decided to cut her loose once and for all.

We put a lot of miles on that car... 242,444 to be exact. I am proud to say that the old girl started up without a problem (just a little smoke). What a car!

I have to admit that it was a little weird to see it go. I am actually going to miss that old car. She was filled with memories of countless road trips and the trip home from the hospital with our boy.

On the plus side, our house looks significantly less "white trash" now that the car is gone. My plans to cut my hair in a mullet have been thwarted!
