You may recall that we installed a new heat pump last May. We have enjoyed it's frosty breeze all summer long. To my hubby's dismay, the new unit has ensured that our house often feels like a meat locker... nice and chilly, just how I like it.
As the temperatures have dropped, we were finally able to try out the heat for the first time. Boy does it blow hot air. Looking back, I don't remember our old unit ever running this well. We will be nice and toasty this winter.
There is only one problem. The air is so hot that I have been having trouble sleeping. I wake up, drenched in sweat, convinced that I have a fever. I then realize that our marvelous heat pump is blowing piping hot air into our house, effectively cooking me while I sleep.
Have I mentioned that I hate to be hot?
Every night, I climb from the bed, turn the thermostat WAY down, swap my winter pj's for something cooler and hop back in bed. I then proceed to toss and turn until I drift back to sleep.
I am really tired.
