A Contrast

***  My sister pointed out that I had misstated the elevation of her mountain home as 6,400 feet.  In reality, she and her family live at a staggering 8,900+ feet and as she puts it, "We are quite proud of our elevation."  I stand corrected.

It is hard to believe that these images were taken the same day. I miss the snow, and that magical season called winter.

It's her car, buried under a mountain of snow. Yes, that's her daughter and dog scaling the auto like it's Mount Everest. A late spring blizzard blew through ten days ago, depositing 52 inches of snow.

I am incredibly jealous.
