Look What I Won

© shoutingforha

Let me begin this post by stating that I never win anything. Ever. In fact, anytime I enter a contest, the odds of another person claiming victory is increased one hundred fold. It's a mathematical miracle that never works in my favor.

Well, all that changed a few weeks ago.

I was clicking around the interwebs and stumbled across Design Mom, the creation of Gabrielle Blair, a designer, art director and mom from New York. Her blog is wonderful. You should stop by sometime.

Anyway, while browsing on her site I came across a giveaway for Jo Totes. Not one to shun free stuff, I thought, "What the heck. Someone out there needs to win this thing and I'm just the woman to help them reach their goal."

I entered my name and then promptly forgot all about it.

About a week later, I received an email from Gabrielle, congratulating me on my big win. After a brief email exchange, a lovely woman from Jo Totes let me know that my bag was on the way. It arrived last week.

I love my new bag.

Jo Totes were designed to hold a digital SLR camera in addition to all the items a woman carries in her purse. Let me tell you, it holds a ton of stuff. I am confident that I could easily use it to tote around my MacBook as well, should I choose.

The sides and bottom of the bag are well padded. In addition it comes with six removable pads that can be configured to suit your specific needs.

The best thing about the bag is that it allows me to safely carry my camera while still keeping my things organized. Am I the only one who despises digging around in a cavernous purse to try and find that illusive pen or set of car keys? Further more, with a regular purse, there just isn't enough padding to protect my Cannon against an accident, of which I am prone.

In my son's almost nine years, I've managed to snap over ten thousand photos. Now that my camera will be safely stowed by my side at all times, I look forward to taking at least that many more.

Oh, and in case you are interested, I've posted a new recipe over at my other blog.
