Take Cover!

The fellows and I have enjoyed a rather rainy Saturday here at the Ha house. Throughout the day, we have been subjected to countless bouts of hurricane-like rain and gusting winds. Ah, the joys of April showers in Tennessee.

Despite the gloomy weather, the boy's and I have been able to enjoy one of our favorite pastimes... Listening to the overly dramatic weather reporters while we laugh hysterically at the names of the towns that dot Middle Tennessee.

Here is just a small sampling of from our latest weather report.

"If you are in the Frog Pond and Mud Lick area, take cover immediately! This line of storms could produce a tornado at any moment!"

"We have some reports of a severe gust of wind in Bugtussle."

"Pumkintown, unfortunately the warning in your area is just a severe thunderstorm and not a tornado."

"You viewers in the Barefoot area, don't think that you are out the woods yet. There is a possibility of more storms popping up at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 or even 2:00 in the morning."

I wish I was making this up. It's no wonder that my boy leaps into high alert at the slightest gust of wind or rumble of thunder. The poor child.

I'm off to spend the duration of the night dreaming of Dorothy, the Tin Man and yellow brick roads. I just hope that the Wicked Witch of the West doesn't pay me a visit.

We had a good laugh about Bugtussle ourselves last night. I also love how the reporters here are forbidden from every actually saying SNOW. They were constantly referring to the white stuff or whatever. The Comedy Channel pales in comparison...

I'm glad in our area it wasn't so severe...or if it was, we slept through it all! :)
