So, how was your Fourth of July? We purposefully tried to keep things pretty low key here at the Ha house. All in all, it was a nice, but relaxing weekend.

The big excitement on Saturday was loading in the boy's drum kit in preparation for The JAM. The hubby and I have become surprisingly quick at the whole tear-down/set-up process. In fact, this whole roadie thing is probably one of the easiest roles we've played in our nine-plus-year parenting gig.

We opted to shoot off all our fireworks on Saturday night. By the time we arrived home from the Nashville fireworks extravaganza on Sunday, it would time for the boy to hit the hay.

The hubby and I, being the mean parents that we are, insisted that the boy take a little snooze after lunch on Sunday. We knew that it would be a late night and didn't want him to start his first day of The JAM feeling exhausted.

Needless to say, the boy was not a happy camper, but reluctantly agreed. Three hours later he awoke feeling rested and more like his usual chipper self. And to think he said he wasn't tired. Kids.

We ate some dinner and then headed up to Nashvegas to stake out our spot just south of LP Field. Unlike last year, the weather was perfect, although I will admit that I missed the excitement of a good torrential downpour.

As usual, the fireworks display was spectacular. It was the perfect ending to a great weekend with my guys.
