Bedtime around our house is always prime time for some crazy talk from the boy. Last night was no exception.
As I was tucking him into bed, he started reminiscing about his Preschool days. It was really very sweet. He was talking about his teachers, friends and different events/programs that he participated in.
One such event was the politically incorrect Thanksgiving Indian Pow-Wow. All of the children dressed up like Indians and were given a special Indian name which was written on their headbands. They also sang songs, danced and ate a tasty Thanksgiving feast.
After singing a few bars of one of the Pow-Wow songs, the boy shared some of his other memories from that day...
"I loved the Indian Pow-Wow. It was so much fun. Hey. Remember my Indian name? Wasn't it Super-Awesome Guy? Yeah... That's right," he said.
I immediately started to laugh. Super-Awesome Guy was definitely not his Indian name. It sounded more like a name given to a super hero, not an Indian. When I informed him that his name was actually Mighty Chief, he started laughing too.
"Oh, yeah. I forgot," he muttered. " I sure wish my name was Super-Awesome Guy. That's way better than Mighty Chief."
I think the boy is right. Super-Awesome Guy has a nice ring to it. Plus, he really is a super-awesome guy.

He's certainly not short of self esteem. Good job in raising such a confident boy!

Between you and his dad, it's no wonder he comes up with stuff like that. So clever.
