As I mentioned previously, I had a momentary lapse of judgment and set up my boy's old aquarium. While our fish keeping track record leaves something to be desired, I felt certain that things would be different this time. Was I ever wrong.
The boy and I purchased the fish, three Black Skirt Tetras, a mere ten days ago. I am sad to report that the fish have died. Every last one of them.
Some sort-of parasite appeared on their bodies just hours after we introduced them to their new home. I'm fairly certain the stowaways were already present when we made the purchase. There was nothing that could be done.
Needless to say, the boy was quite disappointed by this turn of events. Being the compassionate woman that I am, I have agreed to give it one more try. If there was any doubt before, I have now completely lost my mind.
It will probably be a week or two before the tank will be ready for yet another batch of fish. That's right, dear readers. More tales of death and destruction are on the way.
I will post a few pictures once our new residents have settled in. I'm sure you can hardly wait.

Oh boy. We went through this with gerbils. Our youngest was the one who was hugely upset when they died. And they hardly ever died quickly. The other thing they did was reproduce. They did that quickly.
Sorry!
