Crow's Feet?

© shoutingforha
The boy walked into my bathroom the other morning when I was putting on my make-up, eyeliner to be exact. He made a silly joke which resulted in immediate laughter on my part. I have to tell you that I was alarmed by what I saw.

Take a look...

I snapped this picture using photo booth, so my apologies for the poor quality. I made sure that I was sporting an enthusiastic smile and switched the color to black and white so you could see what I'm talking about.

It would appear that for someone who is only 36, I have some pretty serious wrinkles going on around my eyes. It is clearly the result of entirely too much smiling, laughing and the daily installation/removal of my contact lenses.

Let me pause for a moment and tell you that I am really not a vain person. I don't mind growing older and have absolutely no intentions of ever getting plastic surgery. I was just focused on my eye... and it was so close to the mirror...

I no longer think that the wrinkles around my eyes can be classified as crow's feet. A crow is entirely too small. I think what I have is technically considered turkey or buzzard feet. At this rate I may have a full-blown ostrich foot emergency by the time I'm 50.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and in my eyes and those who know you, you are beautiful...and always will be...in every aspect of you being.
